Kaede sighed. What a beautiful place! Such luscious grass, beautiful sand, lovely trees, and the view of the ocean was spectacular! In a place like this, she could spend all eternity here. She lay down and closed her eyes, remembering a tune her mother used to sing her when she was little...she began to hum it soothingly...

Opal lay next to Kaede Nothing much.........its a beautiful sunset....brings joy....happiness......you? she smiled at Kaede....and whenever Opal smiled, it still seemed like she had something sinister planned, even if she ment well

Kaede smiled back at Opal - she didn't think of her as creepy or scary. In fact, Opal seemed sweet, in her own special way. Yes...it brings much needed happiness and joy to the atmosphere at this time, doesn't it? she replied. She was glad to be away from all the battling - the fight for acceptance - just for a moment or two...she really needed to relax for a bit, and having Opal here made things better. Kaede breathed in deeply, smelling the clean, ocean air around them.

Opal nodded, keeping silent, and watched the sunset fade to black...a warm breeze flew past, and Opals black-purple hair blew into her face. She smiled, in a bit of a daze...

Kaede watched as the sunset finished its glorious finale. She began to think about how certain things were alive, and how some were dead...and in between...she shook her head, thinking then of ice, cool lemonade. Man, this is a beautiful island...if only life could stay like this all the time... she thought, a bit sad.

Opal, of course, though it was unknown to most could read minds....they actually sounded like words to her, and she couldn't turn it off. SHe could never tell if people were talking or thinking, for they both sounded the same to her. She nodded to Kaede's thought Yes...if only it could...

Kaede smiled, a bit surprised. Opal could read thoughts as well! At least she and her friends were not alone in the world. Its cool that you can read minds like me & my friends can. she replied, happily. Looking out towards the ocean once more, she thought back to when she first arrived in Endor...and when she met Kachi, Matakin, Tirwill, and Aurora. This whole world needs to work together and not fight as much...its just not logical to fight over something as dumb as not wanting to tolerate a certain group of creatures... she thought openly.

Kaede smiled back. Nah, its ok. Your vampire abilities are special - you shouldn't curse them. Plus, I think they're awesome! she giggled. Opal sure reminded her of a friend she used to have...back before the war started and before she came to Endor. You're very nice, Opal. You remind me of someone I once knew...someone special to me... she thought, sadly. What hurtful memories...memoirs of pain, betrayal, and defeat...
